Sam’s first trail building experiences were with the company Dirt Artisans. Highlights from our time working for them include the construction of Bald Eagle and Ursus trails at Jake's Rocks in Warren, PA.

Narrowback East Trail in our backyard - the George Washington National Forest, while working for Appalachian Trail Company.

Years of volunteer trail work with the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition.

  • A highlight - Cliff Trail revitalization. Working in tandem with friend and stonemason Adam Ritter for multiple rockwork sessions, plus a few large group volunteer days to re-establish dirt bench sections and finalize rock work.
