Founder Sam Skidmore has loved sculpting terrain for adventure sports since he started snowboarding and riding BMX bikes as a kid. Mountain biking and fishing became favorite hobbies, encouraging a passion for the forest.

Years of working at Massanutten Ski Resort in the winter seasons helped Sam understand ski slope infrastructure within bike park building and design.

In addition to construction of new trails and maintenance of existing ones, RTC also offers trail design for new creations.

Other outdoor hobbies motivate us to help create ways for our public lands to continue to be enjoyed, and by more people.

We have ridden countless trails in our surrounding national forests, and recognize the importance of keeping that singletrack experience in modernized machine-built trail.

Sam has been racing for over 15 years, starting locally and working his way to the Enduro World Series in his late twenties.

With an affinity for technical riding to blame, RTC specializes in rock incorporation and alternate line choices.

We are passionate about finding flow in any terrain, and are capable of building for all skill sets.

Sam and Lindsey have been in the trail business since 2016. We are avid mountain bikers but can offer trails for all types of use.
